Spotlight on Blues- Gradient Manicure

I don't know if you have seen this new manicure where each finger is a variation of the color next to it. It looks really cool and I've wanted to try it for awhile. The "Spotlight on Blue" actually turned out to be the perfect opportunity for me to try this myself. Since I have multiple shades of blue, I picked five colors that are somewhat similar. Here are the colors that I chose:

They are:

Pixel in Till I'm Blue Over You
Confetti in Blue Bombshell
China Glaze in Frostbite
Sally Hansen in Thinking of Blue
Sinful Colors in Hot Spot

The last two colors turned out being a lot darker than I thought they would be...nonetheless I think it came out OK... Honestly, I will probably take this off my nails as soon as I post this and try a different color palette (if I do I will definitely post more pics). Anyway here are the results:

See what I mean about the last two colors being two dark?...I really like the concept though. Round 2 coming soon!...Besos, P&P.

P.S. So I wrote this post and then went to do some other things. I happened to be looking in the mirror, drinking a sweet tea (aka crack lol) from McDonald's. Anyway, as I looked in the mirror, I realized that I actually like the varied polish on my nails...and the last two really don't look that dark after all. I guess I'm my worst critic, huh?

Here's my pic from the bathroom lol:

Your thoughts?...I'm excited because I have already picked out the polish for two more manicures that I'm going to do like this- another blue one and then coral/pink/orange. Yay!...Besos, P&P.

  1. I like this and think I might try it! I'm not sure about which colors I'll try though. What are your favorite brands?

  2. Hi Nia! This was really fun to do especially when you want to do something a little different...I really like Essie if you want to spend around 8 dollars but Wet N Wild (fastdry only) and Confetti are my fav cheaper brands (around $2). Thanks so much for commenting!
