I am a married mother of two that was unapologetically raised to be a lady by a family of tremendously strong women in New York City. This blog is written in honor of those four quintessential ladies - my mother, my great aunt, my cousin, and my grandmother. All four have shaped me into the lady that I am. They carried themselves with such poise and grace. It was their belief that true ladies have a strand of pearls and polished, groomed nails. The end result is my borderline obsession for pearls and polish. Thus the evolution of this blog. Yes, in the midst of life- motherhood, career, husbands, community work, and all of the other fabulous things that we do in life- we still must find the time to maintain ourselves as beautiful women.
I am a marketing and public relations professional . I pride myself on being an Account Planner extraordinaire and expert of consumer engagement. I take brands to the next level.
Now don't get me wrong- I know it's not easy being FLY (one of my fav words). I am ashamed to say that there have been quite a few occasions where I have hid my hands behind my back during client meetings. But like any other busy mom, I do the best that I can and polish my nails late at night, after baths and homework are done, when my husband (aka QT) is watching football- whenever!
This is not a "how to" nail blog because I am not a professional nor do I profess to be. I can barely draw a stick figure so there won't be much nail art (though I may take a stab at it sometimes). Nor is this a technical, "show you how to buy the best pearls" blog. I just love pearls especially when they take an outfit to the next level or add a bit of sex appeal.
With that said, this blog is about my love affair with pearls and polish in the midst of the craziness of being a professional, entrepreneur, busy mom and wife. This should be fun.
