Can Clorox Bleach Away My Pain?

I am still trying to figure out a way to get the polish out of my new WHITE bedspread (back story here). Somebody recommended Clorox. Duh! I think I was so pissed at the time (an understatement) that I didn't even think through how to get the stains out (and there are many). 

I mean obviously bleach would be the first try. Unfortunately, I immediately threw the bed spread in the washing machine with just my regular detergent... Yeah, it basically did NOTHING. See!
