My ULTA Package Came! YESSSSS!!!!

I decided to order some polish from ULTA.com on Sunday. I mainly wanted to order a Butter LONDON polish but went ahead and ordered a few more (you do remember that I'm an addict, right?). Anyway, my box came from ULTA today! YAY! So excited! Check it out!

Wow! This is a Pretty Purple

My family and I are in Valdosta visiting my hubby's family. Before we left to come here, I grabbed probably about 10 different bottles of polish because I desperately needed wanted to do both my hands and feet. I couple of weeks ago, I found some more of the Revlon Scented Polish and picked up "Grape Icy" since I have been looking for shades of purple.

My New Pearls from The Bombshell Boutique

So a few weeks back, I raved about a fab new online boutique that I found through Facebook, The Bombshell Boutique. (I featured a couple of pieces that you can find here.) Well, I actually went ahead and ordered the pearl (faux) and gold ensemble. DOPE! And quick delivery! Not to mention, it was $10 off!

First of all, it came in this cute drawstring bag with gold stars on it! Heehee! That made me happy...ahh the simple things.

Chanel Iman Wears Pearls

I came across some great shots of model Chanel Iman rocking pearls.

I love this pic! The two strand black pearls look fabulous with the fuchsia belted jacket. The drop earrings add just enough not to take away from the hat. (You betta rock that hat, girl!)...and we cannot forget the GLOVES! Sexy!

DP #43: Real Talk from Drew Barrymore

God knows Drew Barrymore has been through a lot in her life. She has experienced trials and tribulations right along with success from a very young age. This may not be the most lady-like quote in the world but I like Drew. And I understand where she's coming from...

FLY Polish Adjustment: OPI in Spark de Triomphe with Cream Tips

I wanted to jazz up my glittery nails (if that's possible), so this is what I did.

Polish Change: OPI in Spark de Triomphe (from Serena's collection)

Let's cut to the chase, perlas. OPI in Spark de Triomphe is so freakin' FLY- its ridiculous. I don't know if you have an issue with glittery polish because I do. It just never seems like its "full-bodied" enough. I know that's a drinking term but its the best term that I could think of (I bet you know what I mean lol). It always seems just a tad bit too thin. It doesn't cover the nail line enough. It just doesn't seem like it can stand on its own... Well, let me tell you, perlas, I did not have that problem here. Your nails are really dipped in gold (even though it says silver) glitter. And not in a cheesy, middle-school kind of way. This glitter is for the grown and sexy!

DP #42:Jealousy

These quotes are for all my perlas out there who are doing extraordinary things to the dismay of others. You know, haters are just mad because they want to be like us, right? In fact, the existence of haters confirms that we are, in fact, doing what we should- following in the footsteps of the phenomenal women who came before us.

Liv and Kelly in Pearls

I absolutely love to see celebrities rock pearls. Honestly, it's not often that you see celebs that are on the younger side wear pearls unless you see them in pics going to a funeral. I came across a few great photos of Liv Tyler and Kelly Rowland wearing pearls.

Liv's photo is gorgeous even though it was obviously staged for a photo. The multi-strand choker and the bracelet stack are beautiful. Definitely takes me back to Audrey Hepburn....(and what about her eyelashes OMG!)

DP #41: Great Excerpt from "White Oleander" on Pearls

"The pearls weren’t really white, they were a warm oyster beige, with little knots in between so if they broke, you only lost one. I wished my life could be like that. Knotted up so that even if something broke, the whole thing wouldn’t come apart."

Polish Change: NYC #241

After a long 4th of July weekend of hosting my husband's family reunion, I am exhausted. It went well (thank God). His family seemed to have a good time in Atlanta...so much of a good time that they voted my husband the new President of the Family Reunion Club (which really means more work for me, right? lol).

An-tee-way, back to the POLISH, I have so many polish changes to post but thought I would start with this one: NYC in #241. I promise I looked all over this bottle (under, on top, on the side, everywhere) but I could not find an actual name for this polish. So I did an Internet search and turns out its called "Turquoise Seas" which is a really accurate name for this color. This polish looks turquoise blue in the bottle but on your nails turns into more of a sea green- really pretty.
